Information:

Please arrive in good time for your appointment (at least 5 minutes before your appointment time) – if you are late the doctor or nurse may not be able to see you.

Urgent appointments

To request an urgent appointment for today or tomorrow (Monday to Friday) during opening times:

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.

We will use your answers to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or healthcare professional to help you.

Routine appointments

To request a routine appointment in advance during opening times:

Hartpury college students

There are two ways to book an appointment:

  • through the Hartpury college nurses, via student services
  • use your SystmOnline account

Automated check-in facility

You can check in for your appointment without going to the reception desk. The process is very simple – the screen asks for the following information:

  • gender
  • date of birth

The system matches your details to an appointment and asks you to confirm.

Once you have confirmed sit down and wait to be called.

Telephone consultations

If you need to speak to a doctor please ask a receptionist to arrange this for you.

If your enquiry is urgent, it is always helpful if you advise the receptionist of the nature of your consultation.

Enhanced access

We offer appointments outside of our usual surgery hours, to find out about this service, please visit our improved access service page.

Your appointment

However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery
  • on a video call
  • by text or email

Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.

Cancelling or changing an appointment

If you cannot attend, please let us know as soon as possible so that your appointment can be re-allocated.

If you need help when we are closed

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

If you need help with your appointment

Please tell us:

  • if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
  • if you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email
  • if you need an interpreter
  • if you have any other access or communication needs

Home visits

Please call the surgery before 10am on 01452 840228 if you require a home visit. The receptionist will ask for some simple information about your symptoms.

This is to help the doctor determine an order of priority for visits.
