The Doctors

Dr Alan Docherty

Dr Alan Docherty, B.Sc., M.B.ChB.(Edinburgh 1979), D.C.H., M.R.C.P.(UK), M.R.C.P.(CH), DFFP.

Has been with the Practice since 1986. Interested in paediatrics. Has been increasingly involved in training and medical politics but reducing these commitments to sensible proportions. A keen golfer and an excellent cook.

Dr Ian Macleod

Dr Ian Macleod, M.B.ChB. (Bristol 1984), F.P.A. Cert

Came here in 1988 as a trainee, and has been here ever since (apart from going around the world). Married with two children. Does not admit to any special interest: likes the variety of General Practice. He runs a Diabetic Clinic however. He seems to be continually in the process of auditing something or other. He likes bonsai, music (ie still having piano lessons after 29 years) and enjoys the countryside.

Dr Jayne Mason

Dr Jayne Mason, B.Sc., M.B.B.S. (London 1987), Ph.D., DFFP

Full-time partner since 1990. Past research experience and PhD in orthopaedics. Current interests - Eyes/ENT and Acupuncture. Outside interests - walking, trekking, eating and making bread, relaxing. Keeps 20 sheep and lambs, hens and awaiting a Gloucester Old Spot pig.

Dr Roger Whittle

Dr Roger Whittle, M.B.B.S. (London 1993), D.C.H., D.G.M., D.R.C.O.G., M.R.C.G.P., DFFP

Has been with us since 2000 and is keen to train our registrar doctors (although having lots of trouble training his Labrador!) Married with two children. Enjoys running, gym and walking his reluctant dog.
